    Fri, Jun 23
MDO's annual conference is a great way to connect, reconnect and build up the dance community across the state.

MDO welcomes Jenasyn Baker to our family!

She is our wonderful intern from Missouri Valley College who is contributing so much to our incredible Missouri dance community!

Jenasyn Baker began dance and gymnastic classes at age 8 in Richmond, MO at Shapes Dance and Acro. From ages 11 to 18, she danced competitively at competitions such as Groove, Talent on Parade, BravO, and Stage One. During these years, she studied the styles of acrobatics, ballet, contemporary, improv, jazz, and lyrical. She performs in numerous recitals and attended many outside workshops. Jenasyn was also a member of the STAR Leadership program. Her favorite memory was performing on a Carnival Cruise ship in July 2016. After graduating high school in 2018, Jenasyn took a hiatus from dance to study Journalism at the University of Missouri - Columbia. Before her junior year of college, she transferred to Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO to major in English and minor in Dance. She is now a part of MVC's Dance Team and Repertory Dance Ensemble, as well as continuing to teach at Shapes Dance and Acro and work as an intern for the Missouri Dance Organization.
