Hello

Welcome Felipe!

Felipe is our new wonderful intern from Missouri Valley College who is contributing so much to our incredible Missouri dance community!

Hello, my name is Felipe Yamashiro Souza, I'm an international student at Missouri Valley College seeking a Major degree in Graphic Design alongside two minors in Mass Communication and Marketing. From Sao Paulo, Brazil I've been living constantly in the United States since 2017, where I spent my Junior and Senior year of high school at Pella Christian High School, Pella/IA. During that time I got involved with sports and theater, where I enhanced my conversation skills in a foreign language, also being part of the local International Club I've met people from South Korea, China, Honduras, and others. During Senior year, I was able to engage in an internship at Pella Police Department, where I participated in night rounds around the city, visited jails around the Des Moines area, and participated in small shooting drills. I've got an academic scholarship from Missouri Valley College to keep studying and achieving a professional level. So far I've got experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and HTML. Currently have a GPA of 3.67 which awarded me five times a place at the Dean's List in six semesters. I'm very open minded and able to accept critical feedback, I value teamwork and cooperation, I'm also very flexible with my time and will provide a more creative mindset.
